Brief Description: Install Horizontal Air Intake Plenum 3
Chose the location for mounting the Horizontal Intake Alternate Air Supply Door Kit. Marked the location for a 2 5/8 hole and drilled starter holes around the circumference. A hand held hack saw blade easily connected the adjacent drill holes and I had my cutout. Plan recommended a 10 degree clockwise turn from level for the mounting. After playing awhile with the ultimate throw, I chose a slight counter clockwise tilt to match drill the intake bracket to the fiberglass plenum. The side of my plenum was surprizingly vertical and will only require a little flox/epoxy under the bottom edge to seal it. The example in the plans required a significant epoxy/flox buildup to get a vertical mounting surface. I guess they improved quality control on the plenums.
This rotation slightly forward works very well with pull cable.
