Brief Description:  Vetterman Xover Exhaust Installation 3

First I tried the old Lycoming sniffle valve with the 90 degree bend. I could blow through it and suck through it and that didn't seem right. When suction was applied on the threaded end I could feel and hear the closure occur inside it, but I could still pull air through it. I guess its defective. Vans had a new straight sniffle valve in the kit parts so I tested it too and it shut off tight when sucking from the threaded end, and opened up full from the other end. On it went. Installed SCAT tube from heat exchanger to fireall valve, trimmed to correct length and punctured my finger with end of steel wire inside. Damn. Read somewhere you should bend that end rearward, but I forgot to. Routed it between sump and cold air tubes. All is good. The last photo shows close clearance between throttle arm nut and #1 pipe. There's 1/8 inch clearance there so I will watch it.
