Made a doubler with AN4 nut plates to easily install the ASA oil separator bracket to the firewall. Kept it high on the firewall to let gravity return the oil to the engine fitting that I was finally able to install. I really had visions of cracking the accessory case with the pressure I put on that wrench to get that 35 year old plug out. Everything worked out. Cut the silicone hose and installed from engine breather exit to the separator and clamped in place. I'll use an adel clamp to secure it to the engine mount later. Must still install the one way fitting into the exhaust pipe when I mount the exhaust. I don't think I'll need to use the Vans breather tube. We'll see.
Canister mounted with doubler plate.
Nutplate doubler left of ground tabs.
Routing of silicone tubing from engine to separator.
