Asked VAF advice. Basically was told to really heat the case up and not the fitting. The fitting is steel. Case is aluminum. Propane torch on medium flame for 5 minutes round and round. Put more muscle on it than I recall ever using before and it loosened. Wow!! It was a clean NPT fitting except outer 2 threads. Didn't waste any time cleaning the hole up and installing the return line from the ASA oil separator. Done.
Twisted the heck out of the hand made hex extension inside a strong 5/16 3/8 drive socket.
New return line installed.
Would have been a little easier if I did this before hanging engine. Oh well. Its done.
