Brief Description:  Make 28 Aileron Stiffeners

I ordered several things from Vans over the last two weeks. Electric elevator trim package with new weldment; extra J channel stiffener to replace a suspect one on the fuselage; new F607 right half fuselage bulkhead also suspect on the fuselage after I drill out the rivets. Thats for later. I also had to get more missing bolts and snap bushings. Its getting easier to accept the fact that parts aren't always included but it slows you down. The missing parts from the fuel tank arrived so I can now continue on that as well. Here, the 28 aileron stiffeners had to be cut, trimmed, deburred and smoothed on the stationary sander as well as the scotchbrite wheel. One,, two,,, three,,,, 28. All done. 14 in each aileron. Nothing is in my way now to continue with the tank, ailerons, and flaps. I had to be sure the predrilled stiffener holes matched the skins this time. They did.
I think my next step will be to take all the prepared parts on the wing and primer them with my recently purchased white epoxy polyurethane primer from Southern Polyurethane Co. Yes, thats the next step. Take the wing apart, dimple the skins, ribs, flaps, airlerons and then prime them all. Or, I can take the tank off the spar, put the stiffeners into it and begin prosealing and riveting the tank in three sessions. I'll decide tonight.

I can't tell you how satisfying it is to compete this step.
