Brief Description: Drill the ribs on the top side first
Starting at the bottom middle of the leading edge skin, drill outward and upward clecoing every hole in the ribs and if you have enough, every hole in the main spar flange. I didn't have enough so I clecoed every 3rd hole in the main spar web but every rib hole. Take your time and be sure to reach in and adjust each rib flange as you go because they do slip sideways easily during this process, especially with the packing tape being slick. I used the wooden dowel rod often for the inner ribs. Sometimes I reached in through the loosened bottom skin and up through a lightening hole to accomplish the same result. I saved the "A" rib for last to be sure the flange strip was positioned correctly. It still was able to be slid around because of the slippery packing tape on the rib. I stuck the camera in the outermost rib and took a shot of how the top skin clecoes lined up on the rib. The postioning was right in the middle of the rib flange. I was happy. I had to take a shot of my arm. I better get used to the red marks from the lightening holes and other tight places. I am thinking I can use my daughter's skiinny arm for some of this in the future..... The skin very slightly intrudes beyond the joint line of the matching top and bottom skins. I mean really slightly and by design will be filed away for a perfect match. I will clecoe the matching skins up tight and run a marker line along the leading edge skin where it goes under the main skins. Any shiny aluminum showing after I remove the leading edge will be filed back to the marker line. Onto drilling the rest of the leading edge skin.
