Brief Description:  First Antenna Cable for Transponder

Took the EAA Electrical workshop last summer. Refreshed myself and made my first antenna hookup. Cable stripper was one set up for RG58 and wrong for RG400. I took it apart, moved the two cutters and readjusted so it would properly cut the RG400. Got it working and went ahead with Transponder BNC. Pin gets crimped with .068 and the ferrule crimps with .213. Got all the measurements straight in my head and did it. Tugged pin. No problems. Inserted until snapped in place. Pushed up ferrule and crimped it, always checking to be sure I didn't have that one lousy shield wire folded down near pin. Same deal on the screw on TNC connector for the Dynon SV261 transponder. Checked and rechecked with meter for continuity and lack of continuity. It was good. I'm getting more confident about the electronics. My weak spot.
