Brief Description:  Enlarge Spar and Gear Weldment Holes

Bolted up the co pilot gear weldment to the main spar back on the wing stand and proceeded to enlarge 4 holes to AN4 size. One (there's always one...) was extremely close to a welded plate on the gear and it required that I get in there with several different dremel bits to grind down the weld sligthly to get a specially ground down washer and lock nut to fit. This was a case where the steel plate is close enough to the nut that the nut cannot turn. It went together fine later. Don't mind the spacer washers in the photos. They're there to let me tighten down quickly for this work. Now I will go enlarge the same holes in the F605 Bulkhead. Easy to do from the forward side. I enlarge the spar hole and the weldment in 5 steps from 3/16 to get to AN4. Used #7, then #4, then #1, then "D" (.246), then reamed with .249. All the other holes in the weldment that match up with the main spar need to be opened up from current #30 to AN3 (.187). The fuselage side has the gear mount holes enlarged to AN4 for 4 holes except "D" for those two forward-most gear mount holes (the spacer that I made goes there).

You can imagine the work to get that tight fitting nut/washer to work.
