Brief Description:  Left aileron adustment

There was a slight error regarding location of the inboard aileron hinge bracket. Previous bulder had located it 1/8 inch off and it caused tight fit of the heim bearing and the AN960 washer next to it on the aileron hinge bracket. The bearing housing pushed on the 960 washer due to the angle involved when the aileron was fully deflected. It was ever so slight but still noticable. With different sized bellcrank spacers, I moved the bellcrank over (up) slightly and added a 5702-75-30 washer next to the aileron heim bearing inside the hinge bracket. That pushed the heim outboard ever so slightly and made proper clearance between the heim bearing and the side of the AN960 washer. Checking the travel limits, aileron movement to each extreme was 17 degrees down and 32 degrees up. The up aileron stop on this wing needs to be slightly longer. I will manufacture another one to stop the aileron at 30 degrees up. Notice I only have hardware store nuts on at this time because I have to remove the aileron when I put in the aileron gap seal. Same goes for the right aileron. Torqued the bellcrank nut to 60 inch lbs and marked it with torque seal.
Flaps are next for both wings.

This is a close clearance area. Will need to squeeze one rivet harder to safely clear.
