Brief Description:  Rivet and Seal Fuel Tank Drain

Managed to slip out for an hour today to install the fuel tank drain VA112. Roughed up surfaces with scotch brite. Made 12 grams of proseal. Used the squeezer to set the AN 426 AD3-4 rivets. Sealed the shop heads. Cleaned up the mess outside and inside as best I could. I suppose I could say I figured out that each rivet takes 2 grams of proseal to spread satisfactorily and seal shop heads. In reality it was a guess. And there was some extra left over that I dabbed here and there on the tank stiffeners to dress up that proseal where it looked to me that there might be a gap or two. The proseal sort of folds over on itself like the top of a soft ice cream cone when you try to dab the top of a shop head. When it solidifies somewhat, you're never sure if that little dark space you notice under the folded tip is actually sealed or if it's a gap. So I tucked in some more proseal here and there to be sure. Tommorrow, I will rivet on the fuel filler ring.
