Brief Description:  Dimpling elevator counterweight skin for mounting

the bold that holds the elevator counterweights go through the holes drilled in the skins and the weight. Finding that there wasn't a #10 dimple die in the kit from Cleaveland tools, I went to the internet to see what others have done. This seemed to be a common problem, and most didn't want to spend the $20+ on a die to use only once. I came up with the idea of my own dimple die using a wood screw, cut shorter (it had the same 100 degree angle as the real screw. I cut it short, made a countersunk hole in a piece of poplar.
I put the skin between the screw and the home-made dimple and then put a pice of hard particle board, and a penny on top to evenly spread the load as well as I could.
I put it in the DRDT-2 squeezer and gave it a good shove on the handle until the metal touched metal on the bottom of the squeezer.
The dimples worked out pretty well, but the metal around them wasn't as flat as I liked.
(see the next step for that fix)

Not seen, screw on bottom as male side of dimple die. Squeeze hard with DRDT-2.

Good dimples, but need some work around the dimpled holes.
