Brief Description: A mistake - cut one of the E720 stiffeners wrong.
Just a separate entry for a mistake I made. This seems to be a popular mistake to make so I joined the club. When trimming the stiffeners, you have to measure distance "X" as shown on the diagram. Not hard at all, but you measure from the second hole from the end and cut off the end of the stiffener. Why so confusing? Well, it's not, but you need to realized that on the parts that are cut the first hole of the one you count from isn't there. It's drilled once the stiffener is attached to the left elevator skin. Really nothing hard about this, but just pay close attention to the diagram and remember the first hole isn't there yet!
My new stiffener part has been ordered from Van's. Cost is only $7, so it's a cheap mistake!
See how this is too short? Remember: other hole isn' there yet!
