MODIFICATION NUMBER 11

Installing the Stow-n-Go Hatch Part 1

This is a Mod that I saw at a Garner's Landing Fly-in I went to a few years ago. Its one of two body mods that Recreational Mobility makes and sells.

The other is a Mega Hatch. I got both and you will see it later in the build. The Stow-n-Go is a hinged window frame that lets you open the rear cabin window to gain better access to the luggage area. The other benefit is because of the flange that goes inside the Turtle Deck to hold the Hatch/Window shut, it stiffens up the side of the Turtle Deck and stops the bottom of the window bend you see on most Seareys.

I measured the location of the hatch door and drilled through the predrilled holes into the deck and cleco it to the deck and traced around it. I then used the same holes to cleco the Flange to the inside of the deck and measured and drilled a hole every 2 inches a 1/2 inch out from the traced line through the deck into the Flange. I then cut the Hatch hole in the Deck and test fit the Hatch
