Brief Description:  Bent Elevator Web

After spending a couple of hours with my wife and oldest daughter handing out Halloween candy while my younges trick-or-treated with friends I had a little time left for some shop work.

Made upper web bend by precisely inserting 18.5mm of the skin blank under the top plate of the brake while carefully supporting the big piece hanging off the front on saw horses. Crawled underneath the sheet to tighen down two of the brake bolts. Made bend using the 1/8" x 8' steel gap filler plate to ensure a tight radius. Removed sheet and re-inserted in the opposite direction with bend of short flange now against the top plate nose. Used mallet to continue the bend forming a 66 degree angle. Pulled sheet out to the lower web bend line and made the 102 degree bend.

A test rib installation confirmed an excelent fit along the web.
