WOW... !!!
I have heard a lot hype about the Skyview system...
Then you interface it with the VP-X, speechless... I am truly impressed.
First I pinned out the VP-X and Skyview wiring harness, and wired up the GPS...
Installed the EMS in the system and double checked everything and applied aircraft power.
The system immediately picked up all the sensors, EGT, CHT, Oil P/T, MAP, Carb Temp, Fuel Pres
The temp sensors ALL indicated room temp... 74 degrees, MAP indicated 29.7.
I recruited helper #2 to sit in the cockpit while I went around the engine with my heat gun.
I applied heat to each individual temp sensor, EGT, CHT, Carb Temp, and Oil Temp and had my helper verify operation and make sure indications match the correct sensor, cyl #1 #2 etc.
Then I began setting up the VP-X to talk to the Skyview system... You would think it would have been difficult... not at all. I set up Serial Port 1 to talk with the VP-X and everything came alive.
I setup the pitch trim, screen layout, airspeed limitations etc.
It is nice to see the aircraft come alive...
