Brief Description:  Pass Through for Throttle/Mixture Cables

I fabricated (2) firewall pass through fittings...
Using the same concept as the carb heat cable pass-through, as in photo #1.
Although the carb heat cable fitting was purchased, I was unable to find the correct size for the throttle/mixture cables. So, i copied the design, it worked just fine...

Started with a AN832-8D, and its associated hardware, photo #2.
I cut the short end nipple off, sanded flush and primed. This will be on the engine side of F/W.
Reamed the inside diameter of the -8D fitting to 1/2".
Cut slots in the tappered threaded end, Photo #3.

Once you route the cable through, and tighten things up the slots allow it to squeeze the cable gently to hold it tight with no movement. Really turned out nice. The Final assembly will be fire sealed, and torqued as required.

This design seemed the simplest, and robust I could come up with...
I just could not see punching 1" holes for some of the eye type pass-throughs...
