Brief Description:  Propeller Choices

Well First of all... I placed the order for #2 NEW Lycoming cylinder kit... 2 down 2 to go...
I believe i have made the choice to go with a fixed pitch propeller.
The added weight, intial cost, and continued maintenance of a constant speed prop was the breaking point. I have owned a few planes in my life both fixed and CS and the expense of maintaining the CS always left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have talked to many RV folks... and the performance of the fixed and CS seem to be so close...
I am running a 0-360-A1A and trying to keep everything as simple as possible. My crankshaft is setup for CS at this time, but converting it to a fixed pitched configuration is relatively simple.

Unless someone can convince me the additional $4,000 for CS/Govenor... will pay for itself, please let me know I am all ears.

Should I go with Standard / Climb / Cruise?
