Brief Description: Cleaned and primed the inside HS skins
I scuffed cleaned the inside HS skins with Dawn soap and scotchbrite pad. Just enough to remove the shine and make the water rinse sheet off clean and nice.
I then applied 2 light coats of self-etching primer, Followed in time by 2 light (wet coats) of PPG epoxy primer. This should give us the added corrosion protection needed here in Florida.
I also decided to... (I do not claim to be a riveting guru) go with the optional MK-319-BS Cherry Max rivets on the underside of HS-707... My Reasoning is... I went through all this trouble to prime these skins, the last thing I want to do is scratch it all off.
For the most part these rivets are more than sufficient to do the job.
