Brief Description:  De-burred / Dimpled / Alodine

Put some time in today...

Dis-assembled the HS, deburred, dimpled the Ribs and Skins.
Acid Cleaned / Etched the Ribs with PPG DX533
Alodine / Conditioned the Ribs with PPG DX503

I plan to Clean the inside of the skins with Dawn Soap / Scotchbrite pad and will lay a Self-Etching primer coat to all internal components followed by the epoxy PPG solution below.

Maybe???? The more I read the more confused I get about protecting the bird from corrosion.
Alodine is great but it is difficult to do... unless you can dip the parts.

Folks talk about:

Just SafeGuard 6100, works good and is safer to use. needs to be sealed
Just Acid Etch the parts with DX533 and apply epoxy primer.
Just Self-Etching Primer followed by an epoxy primer solution.
Just rattle - can with a Self-Etching primer.
Just leave the alclad parts alone... and Corrision - X them after finish paint has curred a year.

I live in Central Florida... about 50 miles from each coast... not so salty... But I feel I need to add some extra corrosion protection to the internal parts.

A 2 part epoxy primer solution:

PPG DP40LF - Primer
PPG DP402LF - Catalyst
PPG DT870 - Reducer
