Brief Description:  Rear Spar Hinges / Front Spar Angles

Helper #2 and I practiced with the air rivet squeezer, and completed a small practice project.
She learned to use the back rivet set, rivet squeezer, rivet gun and bucking bar.
She learned the safe use of the air drill and the fun job of deburring.

SAFETY GLASSES !!!

I continued on the rear spar... polished and drilled the hinge flanges.
I made a mistake with the VA-146, when I clamped everything to gether and cleco'd the assembly to the spar... The bearing shifted... bummer I did not notice and matched drilled the assembly. When I removed for deburring I noticed that I drilled perfectly spaced holes through the bearing web. So instead of 6 holes, I have 12... Perfectly spaced in the VA-146 bearing web.

I am going to order a new VA-146 Bearing today. What is the saying "Measure (Look) twice cut (Drill) once.

First mistake... It sure will not be the last.
