My back rivet plate arrived today. I decided on incorporating it directly into one of my work tables. The plate is fitted to the table... and flush with table surface. The table top is removable... I did it this way, so as the table top gets abused I can just replace it as I see fit. In my experience I found it easier to move the work piece to the table and have a secure platform to back rivet. Some may not agree, but definitely works for me.
1/2 x 12" x 18" A-36 Steel plate.
I have a few more things to do around the shop before I start. I ordered the Empennage kit thinking it would take 2 weeks to get from Oregon to Florida... My mistake... Van's had it waiting for me in 2 days... I wonder if the Wing kit will come that fast!!! hahaha
