The break-in is complete. Oil consumption is approx. 14.2hr/qt and stable. Temps have stabilized during climb and cruise. Removed the break-in oil X/C 20w/50-M, sent oil sample and filter to lab for inspection.
I had a long conversation with Ed Kollin, developer of CamGuard. After everything was siad and done, this is what I decided to run in my engine. Due to the STC Ney Nozzles, I decided to run X/C 20w/50 all year round. The nozzles begin to spray around 25-35 psi, the Multi-Viscosity oil will allow the oil pressure to build slightly faster, and get the nozzles spraying oil on the cam a bit sooner. Treat each quart of oil with 1.6oz of CamGuard. This treatment will continue throughout the life of the engine. Oil changes scheduled every 25 hours.
Photo #1 represents all 8 spark plugs. 25 hours. NGKBR8ES Gap .035 Burn patterns are normal, and mixture and heat range look good. no fouling. I run dual Emags 114P's with auto plugs. Plan to change the plugs every 50 hours.
