Brief Description:  Installed PMAGs

I received my mags from EMAG today.
I headed to hanger and installed the MAGs. They worked perfectly this round.
I placed a jumper between pins 2 and 3 to setup the Emag "A" curve.
This limits the maximum advance setting to about 34 degrees.

I timed the mags to TDC+2 degrees as recommended for a composite prop.
I conducted the "Pull" test on each mag individually and then both, everything work great.

One thing to be aware of... the Emags fire the cylinders in "PAIRS" When the prop passes through TDC cylinders 1&2 will spark, at the 180 point cylinders 3&4 will spark... it can be confusing if you are not aware of this "Feature" so the mags basically through a spark to the exhaust stroke also.

I call Emagair and talked to Brad to help understand some of the recommendations for "New" engines. One suggestion in the manual was to remove the MAP sensor tubes. This would limit the maximum advance to 26 degrees... This could help the engine run a bit cooler during the break-in process. Brad mentioned this was only necassary if the temps were well outside my comfort zone. I am old school, and will start simple and adjust as needed. Brad also mentioned that these settings are all controllable within the EICAD.

I will start... jumper installed between 2 and 3 (A-Curve)
Map Sensor tubes installed

First Engine Start is scheduled for tomorrow... bar any last minute issues.
