I installed a re-inforcement strip along the top of the windshield brow. After talking with some local builders that are having a few issues, this seems to be a weak spot. I can see someone accidently grabbing it... and hearing "Crack"
I fabricated a series of aluminum strips, relief drilled and cut to follow the contour of the upper winshield. Prepped and bonded the strips to the brow. it really adds the regidity I am looking for...
Funny thing... when you looked at it straight on... if you added the same strips to the bottom of the windshield... it looked just like a "Great White" shark coming at you... Then the thought of painting the plane to look like a great white did come to mind... NOT!!
