I have been spending more time in the office this week... So, the hours on the plane will be less each day. I am getting more sleep since I am not working over night.
With that said, I laid the 3rd layer of 6oz glass on the upper windshield brow. It is looking and stiffening up nicely. I estimate 2 more layers will give me the required thickness (5 layers total). I hope to have the rough work complete this weekend. Smooth, finish and prime next week.
The outlook for the rest of the year looks good... My goals are as follows:
October: Complete canopy, start fitting cowling, with Whirlwind spacer and spinner November: Complete cowling, begin wrapping up systems, wire wraps, etc. December: Complete firewall forward details, Install Prop / First engine starts, install transponder. Janurary: Weight / Balance, Registration, Airworthiness Inspection,**** FIRST FLIGHT****
I can't believe I am actually discussing the madian flight within the same sentences... June of 2009 ( RV Start Date) seems like yesterday.
