I ran a dedicated 20 gauge (2amp) wire from the VP-X Pro to the back lighting circuit for the PMA6000 audio panel. It calls for a dimmer switch, but I decided to just run the circuit to a dedicated micro toggle switch on/off. I may install an inline resistor to drop the voltage a bit... I want to find a comfortable light level for the back lighting and just leave it. All the other avionics has a auto dimming function built in.
