I received the VP-X Pro and wiring harness today. I unpacked and inventoried the contents, everything was in order and looked great. The "Get Started" sheet talks about bench testing the unit to make sure all is well. I pinned out the ground and power wires and flipped the switch, all checked fine.
I downloaded the VP-X configuration software and tried to connect to the VP-X unit. Unfortunately I was not able to connect... after reading the trouble-shooting section and forums I found that when installing the software on my Windows 7 laptop there is a known issue where some files may not install correctly... The manaul mentions to email tech support, and they will forward the required files.
Thats all fine and good... but if it is a known issue... it would save a lot of time for me and Vertical Power if the files were available to download and not have to wait for an email... since it is Friday evening... I may not receive the files til Monday... not so happy!!! I am hoping they monitor the email over the weekend, we will see...
