I decided to buy one cylinder at a time... Factory NEW Lycoming cylinder / Piston / Rings / Pins / Caps.
I know it may sound silly, but they are $1,000 a piece, and since I will not be assembling the engine until next year, I thought I would spread the cost over the next few quarters.
I also have a daughter stating college next month, so that will eat into the airplane fund a bit. At least she is staying local the first couple of years and living at home. We have 3 very nice colleges here in town, University of South Florida, Florida Southern College and Polk State College. Really good to get the basics out of the way...
