I went ahead and fitted the control column. Reamed the bushings as required, rugged the sticks as best I could for now. I did not understand the directions completely, when it mentioned it could be removed as together but leave the mounts in place. I hope I did it right. Everything fits nicely and the movement is free and smooth.
