Brief Description: Cowl Hinge Covers & Empennage Fairing
Put in a decent work session today. Started with getting the cowling hinge pin covers semi=complete. Sanded the Superfil and cut the glass on the cowl lines. I made a small pattern and marked and cut clearance slots to be able to get the pin in and out of the cowling. All I have left is getting the nutplates on for the screws.
Went to the empennage fairing and got the new coat of micro sanded. Tried it on see some small areas where micro may need to be applied again on some very minute areas.
I decided to hang the cowl with a few clecos and play around with the fit. I was told that the baffle seals would give a hinderance to process of getting the cowls together which they did and I used a 4' metal scale to push the baffle material down where it needed to be which got the cowl pretty much in place. I fiddled with everything and have to get more clecos on the cowl and work it some more.
