I started off dressing and tying some of the wires going through the firewall pass thru. I pulled out more slack for the Red Cube connection to be sure we have enough. Then I placed some ties on the interior firewall side.
I want to get the main smoke oil supply line from the tank to the manifold installed before I get the engine in place and have to work around it. I began by watching a video by Marvin Homsley on how to assemble them (Marvin owned the smoke tank business when I bought the tank system).
The process is pretty straight forward. I am not sure whether I had a stainless thread or two get in the way that I didn't see or I simply cross threaded it or ??? but the first fitting was ruined. So I took the other fitting and installed that one without a problem. The brass portion did not fit well into the inner tubing that is in the hose so there was a lot of fiddling around to get the hose end together and it did not go in easily. But one end is ready anyway....ordered a new fitting and an extra!
