Before Rob arrived I was working on the snorkel and applying Smooth Prime to the fiberglass parts in an effort to keep their progress moving forward. I set up my sawhorse bench outside and put a coat of smooth prime on the parts.
The snorkel is being a bit snarky in a couple places and I was working to resolve the issues in order to be able to complete it and have it install ready. I ended up working on enlarging the holes a bit for the fuel servo and fussing with the snorkel attachment flanges. The snorkel was finally a good fit and I took it out to the bench outside and gave it a coat of Smooth Prime also. It has been primed but there were pinholes in it and I felt the smooth prime would do a great job of filling them.
So I continued to work on riveting the baffle seals as Rob had them ready and going outside to put more primer on parts after they had dried for 2-3 hours.
We have the heat and humidity back....around 99 degrees with 70% humidity.....both Ralph and Rob (and ME) wanted to avoid the outside so it was fantastic to have a project to work on in the cool of my climate controlled shop! I found a way to lure unsuspecting helpers on the project haha!
