I continued on the AeroLed landing light install again tonight only this time on the LEFT wing tip.
More of the same only I hadn't had this side up to the point of the right wingtip so it involved tweaking the light opening more than the right side needed. Sanding of specific areas that were needing more material removed seemed to consume most of the time and effort.
With the opening finally complete I completed the drilling of the pivot mount. The instructions called for all aluminum rivets to be used so I scrounged around and didn't find any that had a flush rivet head. Some that I thought were all aluminum ended up being steel mandrel (easy to determine carrying a magnet around to test them). Finally after consulting with my buddy Jim on what he used I remembered my Finish Kit hardware box and found a Bag 905 full of flush rivets that are used for installing the canopy which I didn't use due to using sikaflex on mine. Jim agreed with me that those would be best to use....so I will finish the holes and use those.
