In an effort to get the wingtips closer toward completion I tackled the mounting process for the landing lights.
After checking one more time the spacing and fit I scuffed the pivot mounts. Using a punch set I have I punched out a couple pieces of tape to put in the pivot mount in order to keep the FLOX from getting on the light pivot arm and forever make the lights permanant and unremovable.
Mixed up a one squirt batch of resin with cotton fibers (FLOX) and proceeded to install the lights using the aluminum rivets and flox. I spread a coating on the pivot mount, then set the screws into the light to get things in position while keeping the floxed pivot mount away from the wingtip.
When I got everything in place I pressed the pivot mount in place and riveted it and then using a trusty popcicle stick I added flox around the mount.
Repeated it for the second light on the other wingtip and set them aside for the night to cure.
