Brief Description:  Tape Windscreen, Install Hose, Remove Fairings

So the upper flanges were removed on Saturday morning right before I took Rick to the airport. He left a day earlier due to weather concerns......I can't express the appreciation for his excellent help on the build for the eight days....it was assistance of epic proportions! I will have to dig out all the clay in the days ahead. On a side note....after scraping off much of the clay I used Goof Off and it really cleaned out the clay residue!

Rick told me the the fiberglass on the windscreen was ready to be primed. By that he didn't mean paint ready....just ready to be primed and play the game of prime and seek! That means prime the fglass and seek out all the pinholes and flaws and continue the fill-sand-fix drill. So I taped up the windscreen to prep it for priming.

I also received the new hoses in from Tom at TS Flidhtlines on Saturday. I had to get the oil hoses remade due to them being too short. I ended up looping them towards the firewall in order to give them flex due to the oil cooler being attached to the firewall and the engine flexing in the mounts. I also measured and had the fuel flow divider hose from the red cube made which I took time to install tonight. Tom also modified the Superior oil governor hose provided with the engine as it needed about 8 inches removed. Tom does great work....I have to still get the other hoses installed.

I wanted to get a better work session in yesterday but the rain and storm knocked out our power for quite a long stint from the afternoon till the evening.....but I got some things in after it came back on line before it was bedtime for Bobby.
