Last night involved a lot of sanding. I continued sanding the small amounts of SuperFil I placed around the oil door to get rid of the imperfections. I also proficled the oil door in a few places with a sanding block. I am officially calling the top cowl and oil door ready for Smooth Prime and then epoxy primer.
I then went out into the shop and continued to wet sand the VS fairing. It took a while but I finally got it complete. I laid a coat of SuperFil on the back side of the fairing to get it smoothed out and let it sit and cure.
I had extra SuperFil and went to some pop rivet areas and filled in the holes. All of that can cure and be ready for sanding.
