Brief Description:  Wingtips and Rudder

After getting off work yesterday I headed outside on what ended up being a dry but low overcast day....just a few occasional spattered rain drops. I set up the saw horses to hopefully get a good session of sanding complete.

I started working on the wingtips. I tackled the 3/4 oz fiberglass strips that I placed over the hinge rivets and worked at smoothing them out with 220 grit sandpaper. With that finally done I moved to getting the rest of the wingtips scuffed and sanded in preperation of getting them primed with the rest of the parts using Stewarts Eko-poxy primer. After sanding the wingtips there were some areas that needed attention so I filled and glassed where needed.

I moved on to the rudder that I had put SuperFil on the last session and began t tadkle getting it sanded. It took a while between the upper and lower fairings to get them completed. Of course then it was fixing and filling some other imperfections and setting them aside to cure.

My last obstacle to tackle is the canopy fairing, which I have already got a good portion done so hopefully that will go reasonably quickly....some parts and areas will need Smooth Prime....looking to get this all primed and shot in the next few days.
