Brief Description: Terminal Strip for Stick Wiring-3
I clamped the cable from the rear stick to the control tube and ran it up thru the cutout in the bulkhead assembly near the front stick. From there I will add an adel clamp—which I have a size larger and one smaller than what I need. Time for another order from ACS. I drilled a small hole in the top of the spar cap and inserted a small rubber grommet. I previously had extracted the transponder ident wire from the snakeskin. I ran this wire inside the spar cavity and exited thru the rubber grommet. I trimmed to proper length and installed a crimp ring terminal. I also drilled a hole on top of the spar cap near the outside end of the terminal strip. I inserted a snap bushing in this hole. Other than the transponder ident wire, I plan to run all of the other wires to the panel thru this bushing. BTW, I did check with Van’s regarding drilling a hole in the spar cap for the snap bushing—they said it should not be an issue. Next item is to begin running the wires from the panel/VP-X to the terminal strip.
