My VP-X was supposed to be delivered today, but UPS stopped at my house before I got home from work. Drats-probably the only time in 15 years he ever came by early! I had planned to begin fabricating a mount for the VP-X tonight—guess not. So, I started running the #6 power cable from the firewall fat wire mounting stud toward where the VP-X will be located. Drilled a hole in the left gear tower and inserted a snap bushing. I crimped a lug onto the #6 cable, then heated with a torch and ran solder into the connection. Added some heat shrink tubing and installed the lug to the firewall passthrough stud. Added an adel clamp-done. Now, back to waiting on the UPS truck.
