I’ve been away for a few days, but early this AM I worked on the canopy handle assembly. I used JB Weld to secure the spacer to the canopy frame, then I mixed up some resin with flox to fill in the hole around the spacer. Tonight I sanded the flox attempting to get a smooth transition—still needs a bit more sanding, but getting close. I ran an 8x32 tap thru the outside handle, then inserted the latch rod and ran the tap thru the entire assembly. I installed a set screw—makes for a secure attachment. I will need to shorten the screw just a bit—the local bolt shop only had 1” length.
