Brief Description:  Right skirt-upper lip 2

Worked on the right skirt upper lip tonight. There were several different areas where the skirt did not fit against the plexi. I marked one of the gaps that was toward the center of the skirt. I removed the skirt, clamped it to the workbench and fired up the heat gun. Heated up the area previously marked. After the glass was hot, I pushed it down with a slotted 2x4. Held tension on the heated edge while it cooled. I also used compressed air to speed the cooling. Clecoed the skirt back to frame—gap was closed up. I went thru this same process for the other areas and got the upper lip fitting pretty well. There is one stubborn area about 5” long that still has a slight gap and there is a gap toward the aft end. I worked the first area 3 different times, but it just won’t completely close. Decided it is close enough—and the small gap toward the aft end is where the skirt takes a curve toward the back. Not sure heating this area would close the gap—might cause other issues. Think I will call the right side good enough.
