Brief Description:  Left skirt-upper lip

Worked the upper lip on the left skirt tonight. Same procedure as the right skirt—mark an area, remove the skirt, heat the glass, apply pressure while it cools, cleco the skirt back to the frame—repeat, repeat, repeat. I worked this for about an hour—have a couple of gaps that just won’t close. These are in the same areas as the right skirt. I applied too much pressure in one area and caused a wrinkle in the skirt—eek! I heated the area of the wrinkle and it straightened back out, but the slight gap re-appeared. Just a slight pressure closes the gap which is less than .025”—will just have to find some way to hold it down while the sika cures. I think the left skirt fits well enough. I plan to start the aft end next session. I am going to install a pull ring on the aft end to help with opening the canopy.
