Finished up the pitot tube fittings tonight. After tightening the fittings on the small aluminum tubes (finger tight plus ¼ turn), I applied a thin film of EZ Turn to the threads and screwed on the SafeAir tubing adaptors. Then I wrapped the fittings with silicon “rescue” tape so that there would be no rubbing inside the pitot mast. Next I worked on the float senders, but something is not quite right. I have a left and right sender, but one appears to mount incorrectly. Will have to study this in depth when I have a bit more time in the shop.
