I got up early this AM and mixed up some T-88 epoxy which I used to bond the backing strips to the HS tip. Tonight the bond was solid so I removed the clecoes and clamps. Mixed up another batch of T-88 and glued the backing strips to the elevator tip. Cut a piece of foam which I wedged into the HS tip. Next I cut some glass to lay in the end of the tip. Added some epoxy which I used to wet the glass . After it sets up, I’ll add another layer of glass and some glass tape to the inside of the tip.
