Brief Description: VS & Rudder Tips-12, Elevator Tip-2
I’m sure this log is beginning to bore any readers—this sand and fill is sure a bore to me. Tonight I sanded the rudder & VS tips in hopes of smoothing up some of the high spots revealed by the primer spray. I shot a second coat of primer after the sanding and it is getting better—just not good enough that I will call it finished yet. More boredom in store for me. Afterwards, I transfer punched the remaining backing strip for the left elevator tip. Cleaned up the strips and shot some primer on the exposed side. I mixed up some T88 epoxy, buttered up the strips and clecoed them in place. Then added additional clamps. Will let this sit for 24 hours or so. Upon advice from a fellow builder, I ordered some Super Fil from ACS. I will give it a try at final finishing on the rudder & VS tips.
