Brief Description: VS & Rudder Tips-13, Elevator Tip-3
Removed the clamps and clecos from the left elevator tip. I cut two pieces of glass to be used for closing the tip. Mixed up a batch of resin/hardner and wet out the first piece of glass, then laid a second piece over the first. Wet it out with a small brush, then placed the open end of the tip on the glass. I put the glass on some gorilla tape—read on someone’s log that the glass turns loose from the tape better than from waxed paper—we shall see. I placed a board across the end of the tip to keep it firmly pressed against the wet glass. I added some micro to the resin left in my cup and applied it to some of the low spot on the rudder tip and the VS tip. I think this will be the last application of micro (I hope). I plan to finish out the tips with Super Fil as soon as it arrives.
