Brief Description:  Remove canopy plastic sheeting

Not much progress to report today, although I did spend a good deal of time at the hangar. A fellow builder in our EAA chapter cut me a piece of closed cell foam for the baggage door. I used a long sanding block to reduce the thickness for a tight fit under the baggage door hinge—supposed to keep water out—we’ll see. The DAR I plan to use was out to inspect another aircraft, so I got him to come by and give my plane a quick look-see. He had a couple of suggestions, but no major squawks. I had planned on an engine start today, but with rain in the forecast, I elected to wait another week—looked like it could have rained, but nothing happened—just about par for the course. I worked on intersection fairings and finally gave up. I believe I may split them in the front, get a better fit, then glass them back together. So, in order to show some progress today, I pulled all of the protective plastic off of the canopy. It now looks like a real plane for sure.
