I trimmed the fairing back just a bit and sanded some of the humps out. I re-taped everything and shut the canopy. I cut some glass, mixed some goo, wet the glass and applied another 2 layers. Added peel ply. I hope this will stiffen up the aft edge of the fairing, so that I can begin applying a mix of resin and flox and then begin sanding to a final shape. Fast forward about 4 hours. I ripped the peel ply off and slide a thin ruler under the edge of the fairing—canopy opened up easily. The aft edge is still a bit thin—may try some flox and see if I can strengthen it up some.
