I clamped the instrument panel to the drill press table and fired up the fly cutter. Slowly and carefully I cut the first circle. Checked the diameter with one of the instruments and was satisfied with the fit, so I cut the other 2 holes. Next, I drilled out the mounting holes with a 1/16” drill and then with an 1/8”. Still need to drill them up for a #6 screw (#27 drill), but want to check the panel holes against the instrument holes first. Was too cold to hang in the shop very long today—spring can’t get here soon enough!
