All this work with the aft skins made me think about getting as much done inside the aft fuselage as possible before I rivet on the skins. And I'm tired of deburring so I got interested in the static tube run.
I decided to use the intermediate rivets on the longerons to hold some static line clips. So I drilled them out and put on the clips.
Then I read about static line runs on Van's Forum and installed mine. I'm using the SafeAir kit. Avery's sells it. SteinAir and SafeAir sell it.
So now it is installed. I can't test it. And I hope it doesn't get damaged during the rest of construction. I'm a little worried about the shoulder harness bolts rubbing against it. But I can adjust when I put the bolts in.
